GIA Thailand Looks for Heavenly Jewels in Meteorites

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Nov. 11, 2009 – The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Thailand announced today that the next Gemstone Gathering, “Meteorites: Heavenly Jewels,” will be presented by Jeffery Bergman, director and founder of Thailand-based Primagem.

Bergman is an American gemstone dealer with more than 37 years experience in the mining, cutting, wholesaling and retailing of gemstones and fine jewelry. He will provide an overview on the basic history and research findings on meteorites and how they fit into the gem and jewelry industry.

GIA Thailand’s 30th Gemstone Gathering is a free event that will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 25 in the 2nd floor Murano Room of the Tawana Hotel, 80 Surawongse Road, Bangkok.
